- I am a stay at home mother for the most part. Several days a month during the school year I work as a substitute teacher at the parochial school my youngest daughter attends. Hubby is a work-a-holic who works 35 miles away from our house at the family farm. A few times a year he puts in really long days and I feel like a single parent. I am pretty opinionated and can be a bit hostile if the mood strikes me. Hubby says I love to argue just for the sake of arguing. The kids say I am "way overprotective" and need to "let them go." I don't agree with any of them. I love summer heat and I hate the winter chill; yes, I wonder why I live here, too.
